What to use to chop garden waste (potatoe stalks etc) for hot bin. Id love a shredder but cant really justify it.

Hi there, thank you for your question. I find a sharp spade handy for chopping piles of stalks etc... reasonably quickly. I arrange material in small piles and chop down with the spade. If you have a small angle grinder, you can sharpen the blade on the spade but you need to be careful to keep your feet out of the way! Alternatively, use a secateurs but obviously this is more time consuming.
