The volume is the main advantage. You dismantle it from the top down to get the compost out but this is quite easy to do. You just loosen the ratchet straps and take off one layer at a time while you empty it. The reason they introduced it is that some customers had 2 or 3 Hotbin 200 units and were looking for a larger option. It seems to work very well
