Very little actually. I have one myself and can't believe how little wood i need to have it piping hot for hours. So you need a few sticks of Kindle to start it. Then put on 1 x mid sized log. This will get it going and over the course of 2 hours i would typically top it up with 2 to 3 mid sized logs. So roughly 4 in total maximum for a 2 hour session
