When is the best season to apply to a vegetable patch ? Autumn or late winter/early spring ?
Envirogrind Enriched Compost 850 L
I want to revitalise a raised bed and think that it will benefit from this compost. Is there a disadvantage to buying and spreading now as opposed to spreading in late winter/early spring. Will the nutrients dissipate over the winter ?

I tend to apply my Envirogrind in October as it protects the existing soil from leaching and a lot of the nutrients from the Envirogrind get a chance to wash down in to the existing soil which is great for the year aheads growing. That said putting on it early Spring also works well however i would not plant directly in to the Envirogrind as it is too strong. Hence i tend to do in Autumn to allow me plant directly in to it in the Spring
