Yes you can grow Root Vegetables like Carrots, Parsnip, Potatoes in the Vegtrug. You just grow them up the centre where it is deeper. You can actually grow nearly all crops in the Vegtrug which makes it super to use however for best results it is probably best to stick to Herbs and Salads with maybe Beetroot, Spring Onions etc as this will give a better return on the space you are using
