Do you cut back the foliage. I have some and the leaves are about 30 inches they swamp the bed

Hi thee, thank you for your question. You can prune back red hot poker plants but I would wait until early spring before new growth starts as the existing foliage will protect the crown from frost. If the plant is getting too big, you can dig out part of the crown to reduce the size.
