Hi there. Thank you for your question. The woody wall tank does not have a removable top, access for cleaning will be through the entry hole if cleaning is required. We recommend using the Garantia diverter kit which removes any leaves and other solids from the rainwater supply. It is unusual that this type of tank will need cleaning as the exclusion of light prevents algae growth and it is intended for horticultural use rather than a potable water supply.
