Hi there, thank you for your question. The very best time to plant bare root strawberries is in early spring but they can be planted in winter, especially if you are in a mild area. My own method is to plant bare root plants in pots in winter and put them in the ground in spring. If you have a greenhouse or bright porch it is a good idea to leave them indoors to get some root going before transferring them outside.
