You can grow pretty much anything in the Vegepod but I would suggest avoiding crops that use a lot of space like cabbage and cauliflower or, if you are closing the cover, you will be prevented from growing climbing crops like peas and beans (though you could grow dwarf varieties). Yes, the vegepod will be deep enough to grow carrots.
